Aquarius Season Tarot Cards

Intro

Welcome to Aquarius Season! The symbolism of the water bearer suggests that humanity is the basis of one’s curiosity and that understanding is paramount! This is a sign representing a truth-seeking mind. Too, it represents unique applications of that truth. Consequentially, it is known as a sign of rebellion for its’ tendency to topple the systems created when Capricorn energy prevailed before it. Why? Being just as Saturnian as the sea goat, it wants to build a better, more inclusive one. Of course.

As we now move out of Capricorn season , the cards reflect the closing cycle. It seems casual connections, gatherings and communications have taught many of the collective more than anticipated. Our cohort, co-workers, or new lifestyles have brought some of us a bit of notoriety (even infamy for a few).  Remember when you’re busy watching others, that someone’s likely watching you also.

While we navigated endings and changes, moving from a privately productive phase to a more public one, we evolved into renewed versions of ourselves. As a result, majority have ceased comparing ourselves. Confidence is solid, we’ve proven ourselves to ourselves. Now, we don’t mind quite so much letting the world see our individuality.

As a matter of fact, this newfound self-regard is encouraging a desire to ‘put it all out there’. The ‘Ideal’ cards are about moving into a new experience with our minds clear and a willingness take courageous action toward a goal. These cards speak also of channeling willpower into seeking and expressing our truth. Regardless of expected response, speak up and out. We’ve gained a level of self-mastery. This will allow us to move in the world according to intentions, rather than in fear. Asé!

As the season begins, we seem to be channeling strong air qualities. Clear, honest communication, strategically planned action, and willingness to detach help to bring a sense of greater control in our lives. The King of Spears (swords) is a no-nonsense, generally detached energy. However, this character does not lack a capacity for emotionalism. It just comes out differently. Collectively, it’s a call to direct intense feelings into logical application of facts. Indeed, the emotionally aware and whimsical Knight of Cups serves as our support system this month, tempering some harsh truths with compassion.

Meanwhile, the heightened intuition of the High Priestess informs how much we divulge and to whom. There are those around us who can keep a secret (even from us). The discretion of others may be warranted. So, do be keenly aware of what you share. There are many major arcana this month. The impact of our words and actions will be substantial. Act like what you do and say matters going forward. Once we’ve solidified a strategy and told who needs to know, we turn the wheel. Now, we’re moving in a direction that makes sense and serves our hearts.

Inevitably, the path each of us chooses will show its own imperfections. During Aquarius season, it looks like ego battles fueled by comparison may avert our attention from what we’ve chosen to do.  The temptation to look what others have underway and how they do it is high this month but doesn’t serve us. It makes sense, as Aquarius is a sign of group causes and dynamics. It is also individualist, though, expressing a desire to break the mold or display what is unique. That’s encouraged this month. So, keep your eyes on your own paper, doing you the best you know how.

It’ll be easy to drop the ball if we are not struggling to apply our skills with discipline and use our resources responsibly. The page speaks of immaturity in the material or physical experience. Some of us will need to pay close attention to the state of our bodies. As a problem, page of pentacles overeats, overspends, and underworks. Often, the root of the behavior is a sense of lack. When there’s not enough to go around, better to prioritize where resources are spent than using them compulsively.

There is significant expansion of the collective material resources as the season of the Water Bearer moves us closer to mutable water. In addition to this it seems there’s collective tension surrounding feelings of worthiness and personal values. The Empress as a trigger is like having blind spots around what makes us worthy. Then, those blind spots are reflected back to us by others. This means they’ll be verbalizing our value as we define it and this will seem like valid confirmation.  This is in no way implying that what’s being perceived or spoken is the truth. It is just a tangible manifestation of the value we assign to ourselves. 

Too, there are always those who feel insecure in the company of those whose strong self-worth is not based on finances or social standing. As we close out the season, curiosity supports a more accurate self-evaluation. We may be compelled to pause in the face of someone whose expression of confidence makes us or another feel small (this is not always verbal folks). This is a great time to recognize the manipulation for what it is. Truly confident people have no interest in tearing others down or pointing out their shortcomings to others. Your worth is determined by you and you alone. Set the price high and tax accordingly.

As the astrological year comes to a close and we start gearing up for Spring, it’ll be important to commune with those who treat us as equals. Equally important will be holding onto an aggressive sense of self-interest when faced with the criticism or projected insecurities of others. You may have to knock a few egos (verbally not physically) just to get your plans in motion. Don’t let this be the months focus, though, because there’s so many other sources of compassion, understanding, and honest support if we’re paying attention to the right shit. Our own shit, that is.
