Leo Season Astrology: Week 2

,

WEEK 2
7/30-8/5/2023

7/30

Sag Moon trine Chiron in Aries 29 degrees
Moon enters Capricorn
Moon trine Mercury, then Mars, Jupiter, & Uranus,
Moon sextile Saturn,
Uranus square Lilith thru 8/2

Our desire to pursue meaningful experiences is enhanced by our efforts to heal the identity wound. Some of us are integrating past experiences into useful wisdom and others will be seeking out the new to see what the foreign & unknown might teach us about the world & ourselves individually.
Later, when the moon moves into cardinal earth, we’re grounding this new understanding into plans and then taking action to create tangible results. There may be some unexpected material reward or opportunity as the moon trines Uranus. It’ll also square lilith so this may be in response to our efforts to stand in our power and may be accompanied by some friction. Uranus square lilith is conscious rebelling against limitations to creative and authentic self-expression. It might be because we just can’t take the bullshit anymore though. Understand this transit brings complications, but not without the potential for reward. Between the sag moon and these 2, restlessness and presumption will be high so keep your eyes on your own paper and channel the energy into physical activity if there’s nothing practical you need to handle. Otherwise, that’s the best place to focus your energy with Mars in Virgo refining our actions.

7/31

Cap moon conjunct Pluto, trine Uranus, sextile Neptune (both quincunx Venus rx – Yod)
Venus retrograde quincunx Neptune in Pisces
Moon enters aquarius

Emotions intensify and our priority is the pursuit of goals and social capital. With the trine to Uranus in Taurus, we’ll be feeling our way toward new foundations with an eye on authenticity. Pluto in the mix is digging up systems and hierarchies that no longer serve us or are literally harmful. The sextile to Neptune is going to keep us in touch with the imagination. So, as a collective, we’ll be keeping our dreams and aspirations in the back of our minds. These 2 create a yod with Venus retrograde so this may be happening internally while there is chaos happening without due to our previous efforts & attitudes. As the moon enters Aquarius, we will find that detachment gets easier and we start to apply logic to our spiritual pursuits and consider how they help us fit into the collective at large.

8/1

Full Moon in Aqurius 2:31pm EST 9 degrees square Jupiter
Mercury Opposite Saturn thru 8/2
Mars trine Jupiter thru 8/3

The full moon occurs today! We’re looking to our friends and other groups we belong to for confirmation or warnings about the growth process that is Venus’ retrograde through Leo. It’s important, during the 3 or 4 days while this transit is relevant, to remember that happiness is defined and manifested from within. Those of us dealing with group dynamics will be especially tempted to perform for audience response. Venus in this state though won’t be fulfilled with external approval alone. Regardless of our attempts to respond with logic, emotionalism and ego will be potent on the 1st. While the aquarius moon has a tendency to intellectualize emotions, I think this one’s definitely going to be felt.
Mercury in Virgo is deep into its analysis of the routines, work dynamics and health states, but drawing tension from a standoff with Saturn in Pisces, which is asking us to clear up self-deception and delve deeper into practical application of our beliefs. Let’s make sure we’re not getting more efficient at wasting time and consider how we might align our spiritual aspirations with our daily activities in ways that provide inner security and outer stability.
Mars’ trine to Jupiter gives us a little help, not only with strategizing ways out of the Piscean fog, but also with multiplying the results of our efforts if they are pragmatic and our priorities are in proper order.

8/2

Moon square Uranus in Taurus
Moon opposite Venus rx
Moon sextile North Node
Moon enters Pisces 23:06

Are we still jumping to conclusions or nah? cough Sag & Virgo they might be right though LOL. There’s an urge to rebel, from expectation, from restriction, from anything that places restrictions on our thoughts or pleasure & comfort seeking efforts. Restlessness is through the rough with this transit. The opposition to venus is drawing intensity from others and the result of this tension is that we may be motivated to comfort ourselves with excess. Mercury is still opposing Saturn and as the day closes, the moon will enter Pisces and approach a conjunction. This is where we will be called to task about our thoughts and how our emotions support, hinder, or confuse our beliefs and the goals associated with those beliefs.

8/4

Moon conjuncts Saturn rx in Pisces
Moon opposite Mercury & Moon opposite Mars in Virgo
Moon sextile Jupiter,
later sextile Uranus & Pluto
Moon conjunction Neptune in Pisces
Moon enters Aries

The Pisces moon expresses itself like a daydream, where the present moment seems to merge with the imagination. Emotions may be intense, but not clearly defined. The source of them may not be obvious at first. However, next to Saturn, we may not easily find an outlet to express the depth of feeling we experience. As luna moves through mutable water, it runs into a standoff with Mercury, and then a few hours later, Mars, both in Virgo. Our daydreams get interrupted, possibly harshly by the reality of our practical responsibilities. Saturn will help, but the tension will be felt regardless and some of us, especially those with mutable signs may run into literal conflicts with others. We may find it difficult to reconcile our feels with a logical course of action to resolve an issue or handle a practical matter.
This effect may be mitigated by the sextile to Jupiter, which is increasing our capacity for mutual concern and foundation building.
Later in the day, The moon sextiles Uranus and then Pluto and the restlessness strikes again. We may feel an urge to disrupt or break free or make efforts to compel that in others. There’s a desire for stimulation, excitement, and change. With Pluto in the mix, what may appear at first to a spontaneous idea is really just the continuation of the purge that that occurred while Pluto was initially in Capricorn from 2008 to early this year. We’re looking to go beyond the established structures and today, many may feel the need to act on the desire for change, release, or freedom. Our sensitivity to the undercurrents increases as the moon makes conjunction to Neptune right before leaving the sign and entering Aries. We get in touch with the deeper implications of what we imagined earlier in the day. When the move changes signs, we’ll be motivated to put that intuitive understanding into action.

8/5
Moon trine Sun
