May 20, 2024 – June 20, 2024

Curiously, playfully, and ready for good conversation, the Sun enters mutable air on May 20th at 9:00 AM EST. This begins Gemini Season 2024. Symbolic of grade school education, your neighborhood, siblings, short travel and sign data collection, it is also the sign of the twins. Immediately after it’s ingress, the Sun makes a trine aspect to Pluto in Aquarius. This lil’ dude has been retrograde since early in the month. So, there’s transformative information hidden in casual conversation and observable details. Initially, group dynamics get a boost of intellectualism and charm. Next, the Sagittarian full moon occurs on the 23rd. In light of the new info, we can get to set a trajectory that expands our minds, social circles, and world impact.

On the same day, just after a pleasing conjunction to Jupiter, Venus also moves into Gemini! She’ll come in opposing the full moon and reminding us there’s equal pleasure in specifics and spreading our energy around. This energy can have even introverts engaging multiple people. Recently, the collective experienced III The Empress’ energy. This is likely a reference to the Venus in Taurus transit, since the card corresponds with the planet and is also associated with the sign. However, it generally indicates that we have been experiencing an improvement in our material experience. This is largely due to developing a solid self-worth. Folks have been working to take care of their bodies and embody the energy they wish to attract. Since the card is upright, I’d say we were mostly successful.

For very few of us, this could indicate a pregnancy or a role change from a casual partnership to a long-term commitment or marriage. Only a few, though. Nevertheless, most of us experienced this energy as an increase of sorts in our willingness to ground ourselves into the present.*I certainly hope someone who’s recently given birth is not separating from their co-parent, but that’s how life goes. So, of course the possibility is worth mentioning.* That brings me to the current position in the spread, which features Justice XI, reversed.

The Present

Despite all previous experiences, we’re now facing an imbalance due to misguided intentions, deception, or a general air of unfairness. This card showed up in ♉ season as a clear warning. Regardless of the card’s direction, it always suggests that the consequences of our intentions, actions, and communications have arrived. Unfortunately, the reversal indicates that we may not enjoy what’s emerging. Still, Justice says it’s fair given our direct, misplaced, or minimal output.

For those who disagree, know that resistance is futile. This is a Major Arcana and like the other 21 tarot keys, it means whatever happens now is not totally within our control. Justice can be brought to our side if we act with integrity beforehand, but not after the fact. Someone has been dishonest or treated unfairly, and karma has now come to collect her due.  The best way to turn this card upright and get the benefits implied is to first be honest with yourself. Then, extend the same courtesy to others, if only out of self-respect.

Even fewer people may find this card supports making a clean-cut separation that purifies perspectives and makes space for more honesty in our lives.

As the ideal card, though, this is what we’re looking to bring in. Gaining access to information, starting a new course of study, or just initiating that necessary talk may be exactly what we need. Truth may often hit harshly, but it better to have than to lack. This card frees us to move ourselves into the now and get back on the right side of Justice.

The Advice

In the end, this tarot spread asks that we get real with where we are mentally, emotionally, and physically. The Empress is as well-rounded as she is abundant. This is the kind of energy most of us want to sustain. Where is there room to clarify our why and better align our integrity? It’s time to ask questions and observe environments for tangible answers.
