Embodied Beliefs Rewarded with Expansive Experience

Welcome to the end of the beginning! The Gemini Season lunations mark the end of the Spring season. Specifically, we’ve reached the Sagittarius full moon. This is mutable fire, a moon sign that symbolizes an expanded expression of one’s emotional awareness. Being the last full moon in the season this expression is a result of adopting or redefining a new identity (Aries Season) and values (Taurus Season). Sagittarius is the sign associated with religion, spiritual knowledge, and dogma in general. Mutable fire is also connected to publishing, teaching, and all things foreign to us. Accordingly, the moon here compels us to open our minds just a little more and to practice what we preach.
Interestingly, the Sabian symbol for the Moon at 2° Sagittarius is “the ocean covered in white caps”. On the other hand, the Sun at 2° Gemini is “Santa Claus furtively filling stockings hanging in front of the fireplace”. Together, the combo suggests that while we are consciously putting actions behind our faith and beliefs, what’s really needed may be deeper beneath the surface than we’ve gone so far. In fact, what appears obvious may just be a distraction. It also suggests that every contribution we make to others’ lives, every act of service or encouraging word need not be made public to reap the karmic benefit. Sometimes, what we put out into the world really is just for us to learn from or the recipient to experience.
Full moon aspects
This full moon is not totally unaspected with a waning opposition to Venus in Taurus. Pleasantry abounds, and most discomfort will come from overindulgence in one’s pleasures. It’s making a nice sextile to Pluto, who’s now retrograde in Aquarius. So, most of us can express our personal power while navigating any intense dynamics between ourselves and others. Meanwhile the Sun makes a trine aspect to Pluto and a loose conjunction to Venus. This is where we get an opportunity to clarify our desires and values and evaluate how our needs are being met (or if they are not).
As such, it’ll be important to take time out and consider your true motivations. Equally important is how confident and clear you are when expressing them. That’ll also have a powerful impact on any notable experience. What matters to you and what gets you enthused about taking the actions required to manifest? This is our opportunity to have an impact in group dynamics. Embody your values and express your will! Negative expressions of personal power will be amplified right along with the consequences. So, do be careful not to let ego and fear get the better of you.
As the ruler of this lunation, Jupiter seems to be getting particularly lucky with its conjunction to Taurus’ ruling planet, receiving no harsh aspects from the other planets. Opportunities to increase the pleasure and peace in our lives come from this aspect. As a matter of fact, this aspect lends itself directly to our personal relationships and social life overall. Relatability is high because most of us are looking to get along with one another. That means it’s also a good time to work through any relational issues you and your loved ones are facing. Try, though, to be fair.
Other planetary aspects
hard aspects
There aren’t many hard aspects between the other planets in this chart. However, Lilith in Virgo is getting closer to a faceoff with Neptune. It begs us to consider if we’re basing our sense of worthiness on the truth of who we are or the ideal? More specifically, if we’re experiencing rejection, we may need to consider if someone is truly alienating us or if we are doing it to ourselves. There is a cloudiness with this aspect coming from Neptune, which can also intensify confusion and a sense of victimhood. Recognize where you’ve given your agency to a person or situation and try to get grounded in that area or bond.
On the other hand, Lilith in Virgo is about being rejected or subjugated because of the ways we go about healing, analyzing the world around us or communicating. In short, if it’s working for you and hurting no one else, don’t worry about how your moves may be misperceived. What’s most significant is that we act on our own values. Maintain your integrity in all instances and don’t be too quick to point out the errors and flaws of others.
soft aspects
Venus & Jupiter are also getting a sextile from Neptune in Pisces. Now’s the time to apply practical effort to your goals and aspirations. You just may witness a miracle! Nevertheless, don’t ignore reality in your quest to live your dreams. After all of the self-focus of the last couple of months may have some very full and others very sick of themselves. This one aspect lends itself to service toward the collective, though. That said, if you’ve been fantasizing about saving the world, take a small step or 2 now. It’ll be satisfying and likely to have a significant effect.
Meanwhile, Mars makes a semi-sextile aspect to Saturn in Pisces as it moves through its home sign Aries. Responsibilities to others may dilute the energy we have to put toward our own intentions. Additionally, Mercury is making a sextile to the Aries north node (and a quincunx to the south node in Libra). This is where we begin to strategize our way toward autonomy. So, take a few moments to clarify, refine, and then initiate plans.
Finally, Uranus is making a rather volatile trine to Lilith in Virgo and getting a semi-sextile from Chiron who’s just entered the last decan (1/3) of cardinal Fired. Stepping outside societal rules and expectations will be easy, but their results are unpredictable and will likely give even more information about who we’ve become. These aspects may be called “soft” but there’s enough of them that they will be noticed. So, we’d better prepare to work with what’s happening so that we don’t find ourselves swept up in the negative potentials of chaos.
Wishing you all peace, healing, and grounded growth!
