Welcome to the midpoint of the Spring🌼season. The 2024 full moon in Scorpio brings a little more intensity into the mix. Collectively, this lunation compels us to to face and transcend issues of security. In fact, people and circumstances showing up in our lives reflect important info back to us now. They tell how well we’re navigating the emotional undercurrents at play within and around us. That’s especially true as it relates to our material experience but this is also about internal safety. That is the sense of safety we feel within our own hearts and bodies regardless of others. Lack thereof suggest misalignment with one’s values. This month, we best get fully in line…

Additionally, the full moon aspect is one that particularly impacts one-to-one relationships. However, it can influence any interaction we have with another due to being an emotional turning point of sorts during the month. Our responsibility when it comes to the Taurus and Scorpio axis is to become emotionally honest and align our practical goals with our real values in the moment. Consequently, the ability to trust ourselves will be vital to creating or sustaining bonds and lifestyles that grow and fulfill us.

The Sabian symbol for the moon at 4° Scorpio is “A youth holding a lighted candle in a devotional ritual gains a sense of the great ‘Other World‘.”
Meanwhile, the mirroring symbol, at 4° Taurus is literally “the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow“! Together, I get the sense that our material and relational security are the result and reward for our emotional integrity 🌞🌕. The willingness to shed or transform what no longer serves our needs for growth and safety eventually determines our 3D lifestyles.

Keep this in mind

Here are the questions I think we should focus on: (1) Are you being honest about your motives and desires, especially those that impact others? (2) What attachments or comforts are hindering the pursuit or fruition of those desires? and (3) What is the first action you must take to realign motives, comforts and emotional engagement with your values? Since full moons are expository by nature, we’ll be getting information to work with now. Mercury will station direct a few days later and our movements will be better informed.

Appropriately, we’ll all need to lean into what our emotional state is telling us regardless of any discomfort. That’s exactly where we need to apply more focus and care. If you’re in your comfort zone, you’re way out of alignment with the celestial energy. The stars are asking us to put forth effort to transcend conditioned ways of participating in intimacy and building on our foundations. So, of course that means going beyond the familiar, the superficial & the transactional. Deeply observe you habitual ways of evaluating worth and make a few attempts at defining clearly what matters. Shed what doesn’t fit the description.

All in all, this transit is likely to be emotionally intense, but not potent enough to carry us beyond the month. However, the real results will be determined by our choices. So, at least try a little to seek out safe environments and be safe for those around you. Look for places where you can let your guard down, release stored emotions, and refine your values. Now, lets take a look at some of the aspects at play as the Moon faces off with the Sun.

The Sun & Moon

The sun and moon are only aspecting each other at the time of the new moon. However, there’s a waning T-Square between them and Pluto at 2 Aquarius. Make no mistake this aspect is going to color the full moon transit in ways that are as intense as they are cathartic. This lunation represents the tail end of the eclipse season. So, its effects may linger a little longer than a normal moon cycle but not until the fall eclipse season like the Aries & Libra lunations last season.

Additionally, the moon is in fall when it moves through fixed water. Here many are likely finding emotional expression and vulnerability difficult despite endlessly deep feelings. In fact, the square to Pluto, the modern ruler of the full moon in Scorpio makes a tense aspect, only intensifying its impact. How deep can you go into the abyss that is subconscious programming without losing sense of your “why”? That’s what the energy of the current month challenges us with..

The other planets & Bodies

Interestingly, we also have a total of 3 stelliums. There’s one in Pisces featuring Saturn, Mars, and Neptune, while Mercury, Chiron, and Venus keep the Aries season energy alive for us. Additionally, we’ve still got Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus welcoming the Sun to fixed earth.  These groupings of planets are helping us to consolidate our focus into the areas of our chart where each sign falls. In Pisces, we are called to take grounded actions that transcend illusions and escapist urges. Saturn is calling for mature and tangible expressions of spiritual beliefs and transcending victim mentalities. At the very least we’re being asked to embody our spiritual outlook in ways that keep us in the here and now.

Ruler of the moon

Meanwhile, the ruler of this full moon, Mars in Pisces ♓, is not very comfortable, but no less determined. Only now, the goals are more intangible than the planet would typically have it. Archetypally, this placement suggest the pursuit of transcendence, tantra or other ethereal goals. Too, actions directed by the subconscious, spiritual warfare, or cathartic sex practices are ways this energy can be channeled.

Interestingly, the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction is still within orb and receiving a waning sextile from Mars. While Uranus brings and element of the unexpected, this aspect allows us to assert our agency to bring forth a result that serves us. Therefore, keep these keywords (and your integrity) in mind: Power, Value, Vulnerability, Loyalty, Persistence, & Gradual Change, and Adaptability.

Also in the background, Mercury retrograde in Aries ♈is approaching, but not exacting a conjunction to the North Node. The messenger planet will station direct at 15°, just shy of joining the nodal axis. It’s close enough in orb though to suggest a fated element to the events taking place around this day. In fact, I think this is going to be the last chance for deep review and refinement of our personal identities before Mercury goes direct just 2 days later. Then, we’ll be called to decisively act.
